A Young Cowboys Team Reloads for 2026

The Tampa Bay Beacons sized up our season in their guide to 2026 Northwest Hillsborough football, and the picture is a familiar one around here: plenty of talent, not much mileage.

Head coach Kirk Karsen enters his 10th season at Gaither, coming off a 10–2 year and a run to the region semifinals. This group is younger. “Not a lot of battle scars,” Karsen told the Beacons.

The headline addition is junior quarterback Daniel Terry, who transferred in from Wiregrass Ranch. He threw for 2,578 yards and 23 touchdowns last season and added 364 yards and eight scores on the ground — a dual threat who gives the offense a different look.

The Beacons also flagged Eli Evans (WR/DB), Gio Feliciano (DL/LB) and Tamarkus Young (DB) as Cowboys to watch in 5A District 8.
