Athletic Registration
To take part in the football program at Gaither High School, students must have a completed athletic packet on file using the FHSAA Athletics Clearance Site. All prospective players need to be registered at Gaither High School before submitting any clearance forms.
For the best coverage, physical examinations should be conducted after May 15, 2024, to ensure validity for both the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 seasons. Physicals dated before May 15, 2024, are still acceptable; however, be prepared to update these if they expire during the 2024-2025 school year to maintain eligibility. Any physicals done after March 30, 2024, must use the updated EL2 form provided below; failure to do so will result in denial. Physicals are valid for 365 days, and all relevant EL2 details should be carefully reviewed.
It is mandatory for all athletes, whether returning or new, to have an updated athletic packet by June 5, 2024. There will be no exceptions to this rule!
Starting May 15th, 2024, the FHSAA Home Campus portal will open for ALL students to get cleared for all sports next year! You don’t have to wait until your season of interest comes next season. All students should go ahead and begin your athletic packets NOW! Parents, check your child’s date of the last sports physical so that you know whether to go ahead and make an appointment. Students must wait until AFTER May 15th to watch the videos and to purchase the school insurance so that the date on the certificates and insurance cards are dated ON or AFTER May 15th.
Below you will find two important guides!
1) An attachment of the district’s official Athletic Participation Instructions that give you step by step what is needed to be cleared for 2024-2025.
2)A YouTube link is provided as an Athletic Director’s video guide helps you (WITH THE TRICKY THINGS) to know exactly what to do to make sure you get cleared on the first try, without having to get denied multiple times before getting it right!
Feel free to call the athletic office and ask for Mr. Kedrick Harris's secretary with any questions as we look forward to next season’s games and runs toward district and state championships!
2) Director's Guide to Athletic Clearances
